I don’t know about you, but growing up birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and just about any special occasion was a big deal. These events would bring the whole family together to celebrate and they were always filled with lots of laughter, good food, and above all love! My mom always went out of her way to make these celebrations special. I know I get my love of creating special gifts and cards for my family and friends from her.
I don’t know why but the new Quite Curvy Bundle just reminds me of my mom and all the special times we had together. Maybe it’s because the curvy dies make me think of how she loved to sew and could create beautiful clothes for the children and grandchildren in the blink of an eye (and lots of late nights). It might be because of the whimsical trees in the Curvy Christmas stamp set but most likely it’s because she really was “One in a Million” as the sentiment from the Quite Curvy stamp set says. No matter the reason, this bundle just brings joy to my heart and so many fond memories of celebrations with my Mom. Take a look and I’m sure you will find it makes you smile too.
The card on the right is a great example of #simplestamping – just stamps ink and paper. Card base is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Layers get consecutively 1/4″ smaller – so Designer Series paper is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the top layer is 5″ x 3 3/4″. Measurements are the same for the pink birthday card with the exception of the top white layer, which is the same width as the green layer it sits on but only 3 1/4″ high before being cut with the curvy dies.
