Live @ Lunch – my new YouTube Series

So it’s been a hot minute since I have been on here. Sometimes life just gets in the way of the best laid plans. But not to worry – I have been busy crafting away in my studio – making cards and gifts, doing my weekly Facebook Lives on Thursdays at 7:30 pm and my latest endeavor – Tuesday’s LIVE @ LUNCH series. I wanted to develop a quick little series for my main Facebook page in an attempt to increase my audience and gain some exposure. Since the pandemic it’s been hard to find new customers and share my passion with others so I am trying all kinds of new ways to showcase what I love. I’m not sure it’s working and I’m still a bit of a hot mess when it comes to live demos but I’m trying and I guess that’s all we can do.

Today’s Live @ Lunch featured a sweet and simple treat holder I (sort of) CASEd (which means Copy And Share Everything) from the supremely talented Ronda Wade. I changed the dimensions a bit as I had a lot of 6″ x 6″ paper to use but I am happy with how it turned out. Check it out.

To make this treat holder you’ll need a 6″ x 6″ piece of paper, either Designer Series Paper or card stock, some ribbon, your paper trimmer and paper snips, hole punch and of course some candy or other treats! Embellish as you desire and spread a little joy by sharing with others! You can always shop my store for any supplies you need. Just click here!

How to create beautiful cards with Hydrangea Haven

As soon as I saw the lovely Hydrangea Hill Suite in the new January – June mini catalog I was transported back to my childhood. My maternal grandmother had a reputation gardening, whether it was vegetables or flowers, and our yard was always blooming with something. Gorgeous azalea bushes framing the front of the house; pink and red roses adding their fragrance to the back yard, and beautiful blue and pink hydrangea bushes lining the sidewalk on the side of the house.

The new Hydrangea Hill Suite is one you will most definitely want to add to your collection. The colors work so beautifully together and set you up for success right out of the box. Check out my YouTube video and see how easy it is to create with the products in this suite.

Sometimes it’s just all about the FUN factor!

I love it when I can escape to my home studio to spend some time doing what I love – crafting! I find it relaxing to take paper, stamps, and ink and transform them into beautiful cards and gifts I can share with others. I also love all the gadgets and tools that make crafting easy. But most of all, I LOVE when I can play with new items that are just plain fun – like the new Gilded Leafing Embellishment featured in the Stampin’ Up! January – June mini catalog (and oh yeah, getting to play with it before it’s released to the general pubic is just ONE of the many get perks of being a demonstrator – but I digress). As soon as I saw it in the catalog I just knew I to order it to play with it and boy was I right.

The gilded leafing adds a new dimension to card making and paper crafting plus it’s just plain fun to play with. Using just a Versamark stamp pad, some Heat & Stick powder and a heat tool, it’s easy to add the Gilded Leafing to your projects. But be warned – once you open the jar, there’s no getting it back in so have a plastic tub with a lid handy to store it in.

The Gilded Leafing embellishment is part of the Fine Art Floral Suite of products which includes Art Gallery Bundle (Art Gallery stamp set and matching dies), Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate, Fine Art Ribbon, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, Heat & Stick Powder, and Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. You can order the entire Suite of products beginning on January 5, 2021 – just about one week from now!

Check out my YouTube video where I demonstrate this Suite of products and be ready to order yours on January 5th. Plus when you order the Fine Arts Floral Suite you’ll qualify for two FREE Sale-a-Bration items! Now that’s a sweet deal! You can order here beginning on January 5, 2021.

You’ll WOW them with this beautiful gift box

Every year my sisters and I exchange “October 21st” gifts – a little something to celebrate the birthday of our mom and all she meant to us. It’s just something we do to keep her spirit alive even though she is no longer with us. Our mom was a crafty sort and she loved to sew. She had an incredible talent for sewing – she could look at a dress in the store, go home and recreate it, making it even better than the original. I know my sisters and I get our love of crafting from our mom.

While mom was a genius with needle and thread (and made sure all her girls knew how to sew), over the years I’ve fallen in love with card making and paper crafting. So for the past few years, I’ve turned to paper crafting to create my October 21st gifts for my sisters (and yes I know it’s closer to December 21st then October 21st – but hey it’s been a different year). For the past two years I’ve created a monthly calendar as my gift with a different design for each month. My sisters loved it (at least they said they did) so this year I upped the game and added a fancy little book box to store the inserts in when they are not in use.

This box goes together fairly quickly and will absolutely wow and amaze anyone you give it to. Just by changing out the Designer Series Paper you can make this box for any occasion. Check out my YouTube Video for the tutorial and measurements.

Fun, Festive, and Easy Homemade Holiday Projects You’ll Love!

I love the holidays! Some of my favorite memories revolve around making things, whether it was baking dozens of Christmas cookies with my Mom or the annual family “Make It” gift exchange. The joy of creating something to give to others is just such a special part of the season for me. And this year especially I think we can all do with a lot more joy! That’s why I was so excited to partner with my friend and fellow Stampin’ Up Demonstrator Vicki Hevener at Stamp with Vicki. Over the last week, Vicki and I have created a series of videos showing some fun and easy projects you can create with your family and friends to capture that homemade holiday spirit I love!

On Day 1 I shared Stampin’ Up’s Christmas Countdown Project Kit. This kit goes together so easily and you can use it for years to come. This year, my family used the boxes to put in notes of fun things to do throughout the season. Things like bake Christmas cookies, write out Christmas cards, watch a holiday movie, or go see Christmas lights – you get the idea. You can watch my video here and order your own kit here.

Day 3 of Homemade Holidays was all about gift boxes! I demonstrated how to make a gift box from a half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock. You can see the video here. As a bonus, when you place an order of $50 or more on my website, I’ll send you the PDF tutorial for all my Homemade Holiday projects! When you make all three sizes, you can stack them up to make a fun gift box snowman. You can order all the supplies you need here!

Day 5 was all about a quick and easy gift bag and let’s face it – we need gift bags all the time not just at the holidays. This gift bag goes together in minutes and with one package of our beautiful Designer Series Paper you can make 6 gifts bags for less than $2 a bag – now that’s a great deal. Check out the video here. You can find all your supplies here.

On Day 7 I shared two projects – a cute little ornament for your tree and a little desk calendar you can make to mail to loved ones far and near. You can see the video here and order your supplies here.

I hope you’re inspired to try your hand at some of these projects. I know you’ll have fun making new memories with your loved ones! And if you would please subscribe to my YouTube Channel – every subscriber helps widen my audience exposure and would make me so happy! Whatever you celebrate my very best wishes for a Happy Holiday season and a New Year filled with joy, good health, and love.
