You need to add this hidden gem to your collection

I love this time of year. The trees start turning brilliant shade of red, yellow, and orange. The air is crisp and things just seem to slow down a bit. I love it when I can snuggle under a quilt with a good book and some cocoa and just laze the day away. Ah Fall – probably my favorite season. I love all things fall and I especially love creating beautiful fall themed cards. One of my favorite sets to create with the the Gather Together bundle from Stampin’ Up! I first fell in love with this set last fall and I was so happy to see my old friend return this year.

The stamp set and dies are beautiful in their simplicity. Just a few heart felt sentiments and beautiful leaves, pumpkins, and wheat complete the stamp set. With dies to match the stamped images as well as some accent dies, it’s easy to create beautiful, one of a kind greeting cards to send to family and friends this time of year.

I’m featuring this set as my October Product of the Month. Place an order on my website of $25 or more and I’ll send you a FREE kit with all the cardstock and envelopes needed, as well as a tutorial, create four beautiful cards (stamp set and dies not included, open to US residents only). Use this link to order https://www.stampinup.com?hostcode=DPYG26UC

The bundle is item #153036 and retails for $38.50. Check out my YouTube video of two cards I made with this set. You’ll want to add it to your collection too!

You’ll love the classic beauty of Celebrate Sunflowers

When I was younger I didn’t much care for sunflowers – I just thought they were an ugly flower. However, as I’ve grown older (and hopefully wiser), I’ve come to appreciate the simple beauty of sunflowers. To me the are a symbol of joy; with their vibrant yellow petals and lush chocolatey center they bring a smile to me whenever I see them.

Stampin’ Up! has captured the simple beauty of sunflowers in their new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. The large sunflower image contains rich details that show so well in a variety of ink colors. The image is beautiful just stamped with ink or stamped and colored with any of our coloring tools (watercolor pencils, Stampin’ Write Makers, Stampin’ Blends).

You can watch my tutorial on YouTube channel (thanks for subscribing!) where I show you how easy it is to make the cards below. I’m also featuring this stamp set for my October Class to go. You can get all the details from my Facebook Event page

These cards were so simple to make using just a few supplies. Both cards are 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″. The Misty Moonlight card just has three (partial) sunflowers stamped with Misty Moonlight in on a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. A .75″ x 3.74″ banner cut from Bumblebee card stock (ends punched with Lovely Labels Pick a Punch) with sentiment stamped in Bumblebee ink completes the card design. The Bumblebee card features a 3.5″ x 5″ layer of Soft Suede topped by a 3.25″ x 4.75″ layer of Whisper White. Add Bumblebee ribbon to both layers prior to attaching them to the card front for an elegantly simple card. The “Hello” sentiment is from the new Life is Beautiful stamp set.

Don’t miss out on the classic Christmas Means More

Every once in a while, I find a stamp set that just speaks to me from the first time I see it! In the August to December Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! the set that won my heart from the start is the wonderfully playful Christmas Means More stamp set. Don’t be fooled by its obvious simplicity – the set contains four sentiments that are iconic lines from classic holiday movies. As soon as I saw the set I was transported back to my childhood and the fun times baking Christmas cookies with my mom while we watched these classic movies.

The quotes are from some of my favorite movies and every time I use them I just can’t help smiling (or singing or reeling off other lines from the movies). Let’s see if you can name the movies from these classic lines: “Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more” or “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear”. How about “Every time a bell rings and angel gets its wings” or the simple “I believe – it’s silly, but I believe.”

Subscribing to the idea of simplicity is the essence of good design, it’s so easy to create beautiful cards with this set. Check out these two I demonstrated for my Facebook Live and posted to my YouTube channel (thanks for subscribing).

Both cards were so simple to make and are great for beginning stampers. The card bases are 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″, with on card having a portrait orientation and the other having a landscape orientation. Both feature the beautiful Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (DSP). For the Pear Pizzazz card, cut your DSP to 3″ x 4″ and your Mossy Meadow layer to 3.5″ x 4.5″ You can add some bling with the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels and use the Real Red double stitched satin ribbon to tie a pretty bow around it. Stamp your sentiment on Whisper White card stock using Real Red ink and die cut with the layering circles. Attach to card front using stampin dimensionals. For the Mossy Meadow card, cut your DSP to 3″ x 1″ and layer it over a Real Real cut to 3.75″ x 3.5″. Add a stitched rectangle with the sentiment stamped in Mossy Meadow ink to complete the card. You’ll want to see what’s in the new Mini!

The Stampin’ Up! August – December Mini Catalog went LIVE on Tuesday August 4th. There are so many cute stamp sets and embellishments you can get to create your one of a kind holiday cards. The catalog is so jam packed with new products that I took a few minutes to do a Facebook Live to highlight some of my favorites. Some of these I didn’t even notice my first time through the catalog. It took a few passes for me to focus on some of these hidden gems.

Did you see something you like? I hope so! I know there’s some great new items in there that I plan on getting (if I haven’t already). Just contact your demonstrator to place an order. If you are in the United States and don’t have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I’d love to fill that role. You can shop my online store 24/7 just by clicking on this link. Questions?
