Hello Friends – it’s been a while since I have posted but I wanted to take this opportunity to explain a bit more about purchasing the Starter Kit and signing up to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
Do you get a feeling of dread when the option to purchase the starter kit is offered to you?
Do you avoid making eye contact when joining Stampin’ Up! is mentioned?
Are thinking “Ugh – I don’t want to listen to this now!”
Well I get it! I was the same way until I took the time to really understand what it is all about.
Purchasing the starter kit is about getting the best deal out there with absolutely no further obligations. Yes you read that correctly – purchase of the starter kit does not come with any strings attached!
So why purchase it? At the bare minimum, it is $125 in product for $99 (plus tax), a 20% discount over catalog prices, with a continuing 20% discount through your first full quarter. So, if you plan to purchase at least $75 or more in product or want all the freebies that come with the starter kit during Sale-a-Bration, it is so worth it.
After the initial purchase of the starter kit, you have a few options:
Enjoy the products you purchased at a discount and call it good
Use your ongoing 20% discount through the end of June – no strings
Stay on as a hobby demonstrator. These demonstrators (which I was for a long time) purchase their products using their discounts, maybe hold a class once in a while to assist with meeting their quarterly minimum of $300 or maybe have a friend or family member who orders from them so they can craft together
Earn extra money by creating your very own small business. This is great for stay-at-home moms, retirees, or anyone who is looking for a little something income
Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator has a lot of great benefits – trips, meetings, creative ideas just to name a few! One of my personal favorites is making new friends and teaching them the joys of creating. If you want to learn more, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I just want to share this incredible opportunity with you and answer any questions you have. I promise it will be pressure free and worth your time. Happy Stampin!
Oh my goodness – I am so excited! The weekend for On the Craft Train 2 is finally here! I have been preparing for this show for months and now I’m ready (almost) to go. With over 100 vendors it’s sure to be a lot of fun. I hope you can stop by this weekend and visit my booth.
The fun begins on Saturday at 9 am until 4 pm and repeats on Sunday. See you at the Martinsburg Roundhouse, 100 East Liberty St, Martinsburg, WV. If you tell me you saw my blog post I will give you a free card!
Today is a day that will live on in my memory for the rest of my life. 18 years ago we as a country experienced the horrific events of 9/11. We must always remember those who perished that day and do our best to honor their memory.
So in memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11 today I challenge you to engage in an act of kindness. Purchase a cup of coffee for the person in line behind you; hold open the door for someone; smile and wish someone a good morning. Just be nice to everyone you meet today.
I think that is the best way we can honor the memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11.
Way back in August, I had the opportunity to pre-order lots of new goodies from the Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog (one of the perks of being a demonstrator). One of the items that caught my eye was the Tiny Keepsakes Bundle. I thought this would be a quick and easy way to make treats for co-workers, family, friends, teachers, coaches (get the idea?) so I placed my order for one. As soon as it arrived I knew I made the right choice! From the first time I used the die to make a treat box I was in LOVE with this set.
I just couldn’t stop playing with this set! It’s so, so easy to use and you don’t even need to stamp! One 6″x6″ of Designer Series Paper is really all you need or you can use cardstock and dress it up! Add ribbon or twine with a small tag and you have an adorable little gift. The box is the perfect size for chocolate – Hershey’s Kisses, Lindor Truffles, or Ferrero Rocher are excellent choices. You can order your bundle today from my website. Check all the different ones I made.
Community – what is it? The dictionary definition of community is shown as (1) a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common or (2) a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
Throughout life we are members of many different communities. Some communities are our forever communities (families, school affiliations) and some are short term or seasonal in nature (PTA, sports team, civic groups). But no matter what type of community – long or short term – the fact is we need communities. We all need to be surrounded by people who will celebrate the happy times and support us in the difficult times.
That support system – celebrating the good things and offering comfort during the hard times – is what I love about my Stampin’ Up community. The group that I craft with are always so encouraging to each other and help ease the burden during difficult times. Whenever we get together it’s always interesting! A little crafting, a little whining, and lots of laughter!
Today I invite you to join my community of stampers. I have several classes and events coming up in the next month and I would love to have you join me!
This weekend, September 14 and 15, come visit me at On the Craft Train 1 at the Martinsburg Roundhouse, 100 East Liberty Street, Martinsburg, VA. With over 100 vendors and authors, there is sure to be something for everyone.
Next up is Stampin’ Bingo at the Clarke County Parks and Recreation Community Center , 225 Al Smith Circle, Berryville, VA on September 25 from 6 – 8:30 pm. Come out to play some Bingo, win some new Stampin’ Up! prizes and create 4 make and take projects.
On September 28 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm please join me at Michaels Store, Battlefield Shopping Center, 1019A Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA for my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Class. You can register online by clicking here.
So last night I had my Facebook live featuring the new Perfectly Plaid Bundle. I love this set and the matching Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper. Just a fun and whimsical set. One card featured traditional Christmas colors of red and green while the other had a more beachy feel with Coastal Cabana as the main color.
