When I was younger I didn’t much care for sunflowers – I just thought they were an ugly flower. However, as I’ve grown older (and hopefully wiser), I’ve come to appreciate the simple beauty of sunflowers. To me the are a symbol of joy; with their vibrant yellow petals and lush chocolatey center they bring a smile to me whenever I see them.
Stampin’ Up! has captured the simple beauty of sunflowers in their new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. The large sunflower image contains rich details that show so well in a variety of ink colors. The image is beautiful just stamped with ink or stamped and colored with any of our coloring tools (watercolor pencils, Stampin’ Write Makers, Stampin’ Blends).

You can watch my tutorial on YouTube channel (thanks for subscribing!) where I show you how easy it is to make the cards below. I’m also featuring this stamp set for my October Class to go. You can get all the details from my Facebook Event page
These cards were so simple to make using just a few supplies. Both cards are 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″. The Misty Moonlight card just has three (partial) sunflowers stamped with Misty Moonlight in on a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. A .75″ x 3.74″ banner cut from Bumblebee card stock (ends punched with Lovely Labels Pick a Punch) with sentiment stamped in Bumblebee ink completes the card design. The Bumblebee card features a 3.5″ x 5″ layer of Soft Suede topped by a 3.25″ x 4.75″ layer of Whisper White. Add Bumblebee ribbon to both layers prior to attaching them to the card front for an elegantly simple card. The “Hello” sentiment is from the new Life is Beautiful stamp set.
