Add a POP of color with the stunning Poinsettia Place Suite

When I first saw the August to December Mini Catalog I was drawn to the beautiful Poinsettia Place Suite of products. It was a love/hate relationship – I loved the the products but hated the number of dies included. The number of dies was the deciding factor in my decision to skip over this suite in favor of simpler bundles and suites. But like a moth to a flame I kept coming back to it. After seeing so many beautiful projects created with this suite I FINALLY broke down and ordered it.

When it arrived I pulled it out of the box and immediately started to play with it. Let just say it was LOVE at first use! The poinsettia flowers go together so easily and you can create flowers of varying sizes . I was kicking myself for waiting so long to get this little gem.

You’ll love the classic beauty of Celebrate Sunflowers

When I was younger I didn’t much care for sunflowers – I just thought they were an ugly flower. However, as I’ve grown older (and hopefully wiser), I’ve come to appreciate the simple beauty of sunflowers. To me the are a symbol of joy; with their vibrant yellow petals and lush chocolatey center they bring a smile to me whenever I see them.

Stampin’ Up! has captured the simple beauty of sunflowers in their new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. The large sunflower image contains rich details that show so well in a variety of ink colors. The image is beautiful just stamped with ink or stamped and colored with any of our coloring tools (watercolor pencils, Stampin’ Write Makers, Stampin’ Blends).

You can watch my tutorial on YouTube channel (thanks for subscribing!) where I show you how easy it is to make the cards below. I’m also featuring this stamp set for my October Class to go. You can get all the details from my Facebook Event page

These cards were so simple to make using just a few supplies. Both cards are 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″. The Misty Moonlight card just has three (partial) sunflowers stamped with Misty Moonlight in on a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. A .75″ x 3.74″ banner cut from Bumblebee card stock (ends punched with Lovely Labels Pick a Punch) with sentiment stamped in Bumblebee ink completes the card design. The Bumblebee card features a 3.5″ x 5″ layer of Soft Suede topped by a 3.25″ x 4.75″ layer of Whisper White. Add Bumblebee ribbon to both layers prior to attaching them to the card front for an elegantly simple card. The “Hello” sentiment is from the new Life is Beautiful stamp set.

The new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog has ten new Product Suites that make it so easy to create beautiful projects. The color coordination is one of the hallmarks of the Stampin’ Up! product line. From inks to paper to embellishments, it’s so easy to successfully create stunning one of a kind cards and gifts. One of my new favorites is the Peony Garden Suite (#154129; $97.50). The Suite features the Prized Peony Stamp Set, Peony dies, Peony Garden Designer Series Paper, Square Vellum Doilies, Elegant Faceted Gems, Gray Granite 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon, and Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.

Peony Garden Suite

This elegant suite of products is geared to the avid crafter but beginning stampers can also create lovely simple stamping cards with this beautiful stamp set. Using just stamps, ink and paper you can create a simple yet elegant card as shown below

#simplestamping

This card was created with just two stamps and a few layers of paper. The card base is an 8 1/5″ x 5 1/5″ piece of Gray Granite card stock scored at 4 1/4″. The first layer is a piece of 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic Gray card stock. The final layer is a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. The images are stamped in Basic Gray ink. More avid crafters can step it up with die cuts and embellishments as shown below.

Peony Garden Product Suite

This card has a 8 1/5″ x 5 1/5″ Petal Pink card base (scored at 4 1/4″). The Basic Gray layer (4″ x 5 1/4″) has been embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing folder. A 2′ x 4″ piece of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper adds a pop of color as does a touch of the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon. The sentiment was die cut using the Stitched so Sweetly dies and stamped in Old Olive ink. The peony flower was die cut in Petal Pink and colored with a sponge dauber and Blushing Bride ink. The center was die cut from Bumblebee card stock and the leaves area combination of Old Olive and Garden Green. You can check out my video tutorial here. Something Old/Something New

This old saying isn’t just for weddings.  I love it when I can take my “old” craft supplies and pair them with something new!  I absolutely love Stampin’ Up’s Tropical Chic stamp set – it’s just a fun, happy design and who couldn’t use a little fun and happy right now?  I also like Stampin’ Up’s new Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper (DSP) and so I decided to pair my “old” stamp set with the “new” DSP.  I also love making fancy fold cards that look difficult but are secretly very easy (SHHHH!  Don’t tell anyone).  This fun double gatefold card is sure to impress your family and friends. Wildly Happy

When I attended Stampin’ Up!’s April On Stage event I received the Wildly Happy stamp set for a prize patrol. I was so excited as I though the set was just adorable. Fast forward three months and I am finally in my workshop playing with this set and oh my! Do I love this set.

Each month Stampin’Up! has a #simplestamping challenge and this month the challenge was to highlight some of the new Designer Series Paper (DSP). I had been thinking about the Wildly Happy stamp set and how it would pair so well with the new 2019-2021 In Colors . I knew this #simplestamping challenge was the perfect time to execute my concept! Panda’s paired with Pretty Peacock, foxes with Terracotta Tile, bunnies with Rococo Rose, and elephants with Seaside Spray. Add in the matching cardstock, ink, and DSP and Voila! Four adorable cards perfect for all stampers.

Take a look at my cards. You can order your own stamp set, ink pads, and paper through my online store. And if you order now, for every $50 spent in July you will receive a $5 bonus coupon to use in August. Happy Stampin’.
