Well it’s been a while but I am back and determined to keep up to date with my blog! August was a busy month – lots of family fun, activities, and of course the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog pre-order period. The new holiday catalog is just full of wonderful new stamp sets, punches and embellishments and I have been busy playing with all the new items!
One of my favorites is the new Perfectly Plaid bundle. The stamp set and punch make it easy for all levels of crafters to create beautiful, one of a kind holiday cards in minutes. Pair the stamp set with the new Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink and you have a “Wow” card in the making.
To make this card, start with a Shaded Spruce card base cut to 5.5″ by 8.5 ” and fold in half. Next take a piece of Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 3″ by 5.5″. Adhere the DSP to the card base. On a piece of Whisper White card stock cut to 2.5″ by 5.5″ punch out the tree shape. Stamp the “Merry Christmas ” greeting in Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink and add red rhinestones for a bit of sparkle. Adhere piece to DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
