Today is a day that will live on in my memory for the rest of my life. 18 years ago we as a country experienced the horrific events of 9/11. We must always remember those who perished that day and do our best to honor their memory.
So in memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11 today I challenge you to engage in an act of kindness. Purchase a cup of coffee for the person in line behind you; hold open the door for someone; smile and wish someone a good morning. Just be nice to everyone you meet today.
I think that is the best way we can honor the memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11.
Way back in August, I had the opportunity to pre-order lots of new goodies from the Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog (one of the perks of being a demonstrator). One of the items that caught my eye was the Tiny Keepsakes Bundle. I thought this would be a quick and easy way to make treats for co-workers, family, friends, teachers, coaches (get the idea?) so I placed my order for one. As soon as it arrived I knew I made the right choice! From the first time I used the die to make a treat box I was in LOVE with this set.
I just couldn’t stop playing with this set! It’s so, so easy to use and you don’t even need to stamp! One 6″x6″ of Designer Series Paper is really all you need or you can use cardstock and dress it up! Add ribbon or twine with a small tag and you have an adorable little gift. The box is the perfect size for chocolate – Hershey’s Kisses, Lindor Truffles, or Ferrero Rocher are excellent choices. You can order your bundle today from my website. Check all the different ones I made.
Community – what is it? The dictionary definition of community is shown as (1) a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common or (2) a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
Throughout life we are members of many different communities. Some communities are our forever communities (families, school affiliations) and some are short term or seasonal in nature (PTA, sports team, civic groups). But no matter what type of community – long or short term – the fact is we need communities. We all need to be surrounded by people who will celebrate the happy times and support us in the difficult times.
That support system – celebrating the good things and offering comfort during the hard times – is what I love about my Stampin’ Up community. The group that I craft with are always so encouraging to each other and help ease the burden during difficult times. Whenever we get together it’s always interesting! A little crafting, a little whining, and lots of laughter!
Today I invite you to join my community of stampers. I have several classes and events coming up in the next month and I would love to have you join me!

Today’s the day! The holiday catalog is now LIVE – let the fun begin. And what’s more fun than building a snowman? The best part about this snowman is you don’t even need snow! How great is that?
This adorable card was made with the new Snowman Season bundle featuring the Snowman Season stamp set and Snowman builder punch.
The card base is Pretty Peacock cut to 5.5″ x 8.5″ and folded in half. Cut a piece of Noble Peacock Foil sheets in Pretty Peacock to 5.25″ x 4″ place it into the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder and run it through the Big Shot. Stamp the Snowman on Whisper White card stock and punch out with matching punch. Punch out hat from Basic Black card stock and twig arms from Early Espresso card stock. Attach to snow man. Use Real Red curly ribbon to tie scarf around snowman and adhere Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to hat. Adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
