Every once in a while, I find a stamp set that just speaks to me from the first time I see it! In the August to December Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! the set that won my heart from the start is the wonderfully playful Christmas Means More stamp set. Don’t be fooled by its obvious simplicity – the set contains four sentiments that are iconic lines from classic holiday movies. As soon as I saw the set I was transported back to my childhood and the fun times baking Christmas cookies with my mom while we watched these classic movies.
The quotes are from some of my favorite movies and every time I use them I just can’t help smiling (or singing or reeling off other lines from the movies). Let’s see if you can name the movies from these classic lines: “Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more” or “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear”. How about “Every time a bell rings and angel gets its wings” or the simple “I believe – it’s silly, but I believe.”

Subscribing to the idea of simplicity is the essence of good design, it’s so easy to create beautiful cards with this set. Check out these two I demonstrated for my Facebook Live and posted to my YouTube channel (thanks for subscribing).

Both cards were so simple to make and are great for beginning stampers. The card bases are 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″, with on card having a portrait orientation and the other having a landscape orientation. Both feature the beautiful Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (DSP). For the Pear Pizzazz card, cut your DSP to 3″ x 4″ and your Mossy Meadow layer to 3.5″ x 4.5″ You can add some bling with the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels and use the Real Red double stitched satin ribbon to tie a pretty bow around it. Stamp your sentiment on Whisper White card stock using Real Red ink and die cut with the layering circles. Attach to card front using stampin dimensionals. For the Mossy Meadow card, cut your DSP to 3″ x 1″ and layer it over a Real Real cut to 3.75″ x 3.5″. Add a stitched rectangle with the sentiment stamped in Mossy Meadow ink to complete the card.
