If you’re like me, you have some special guys in your life that you like to send birthday cards to. Designing cards with a more masculine feel is always a challenge for me and today, I decided to tackle that challenge head on. With just some basic supplies, I designed this Buffalo Check birthday card that I think hits the mark for the guys.
Here’s how easy it was to create this card which fits the #simplestamping challenge too!
- Using a half sheet of Night of Navy 8 1/2 x 11 card stock, I inked up the Buffalo Check background stamp with Night of Navy ink and stamped it on the card base. That created a nice tone on tone base layer.
- Next I used a scrap piece of Crumb Cake card stock and stamped it using the Lovely as a Tree set with Early Espresso ink.
- Than I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies to cut out my image and mounted the trees to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Inside, I added a 4 x 5 1/4 inch piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped a simple Happy Birthday in Early Espresso.
That’s it! Just four easy steps to create a clean, simple birthday card for the men in you life! Are you ready to order your supplies to make these simple cards? I know you are! Here’s the supply list of everything you need to make these cards.
