Racing By – a fun new set
What is it about race cars that we find so interesting? When my son was little he loved this Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars. My husband is a big NASCAR fan. There’s just something about racing cars that speaks to us on some level. I guess that’s why I felt drawn to the Racing By stamp set in the 2024-2025 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog.
Everytime I would look through the catalog I would stop on the page with the Racing By set – it just seemed to call to me. Well after a month of thinking about it, I finally broke down and ordered the stamp set! And let me tell you – I am so glad I did! I just love it. Everytime I make a card with it I just can’t help by smile.
Last Thursday (May 20th) I had plans to go live on my Crafty Klock YouTube channel with a live tutorial with this set. Unfortunately, due to my lovely husband sharing his cold with me, I was out for the count. I was so sick I didn’t even make it down to my studio once over the Memorial Day weekend. If you know me at all, you know I have to be really, really, really sick to not be able to craft!
Fortunatley I was feeling better today so I was finally able to get down and record the video tutorial for this set. Here’s a peek at the cards I made during the tutorial:
I had so much fun creating these cards! I love that I can use just stamps, ink, and paper to come up with fun designs that make me (and others I hope) smile!

Measurements and Supplies
As I promised in the video, here are the measurements for each card. I’ll add the supply list at the end since I used almost the same supplies for both cards.
Double Race Car Simple Stamping Card
- Smokey Slate cardstock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (21 cm x 14.8 cm scored at 10.5 cm)
- Basic White cardstock 1 piece at 5″ x 4 1/4″ for inside (14.3 cm x 10 cm) and 3 pieces at 3 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ (9.5 cm x 4.3 cm)
- Real Red cardstock 4″ x 1 3/4″ (10 cm x 4.8 cm)
- Basic Gray cardstock 4″ x 1 3/4″ (10 cm x 4.8 cm)
- Blueberry Bushel cardstock 4″ x 1 3/4″ (10 cm x 4.8 cm)
Single Race Car with Embossing Card
- Real Red cardstock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (21 cm x 14.8 cm scored at 10.5 cm)
- Basic White cardstock 1 piece at 5 1/4″ x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm) for inside; 1 piece at 2″ x 3 1/4″ (5 cm x 8.5 cm); and 1 piece at 1 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ (3.5 cm x 8.5 cm)
- Basic Gray cardstock 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ (4.5 cm x 9.5 cm)
- Basic Black cardstock 1 piece at 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ (5.5 cm x 9 cm); 1 piece at 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ (4 cm x 9 cm); 1 3/4″ x 4″ (5 cm x 10 cm)
