Introducing the Cutest Cows!
One of the things I love most about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the ability to pre-order new stamps sets! As soon as I saw the Cutest Cows bundle in the January – April 2024 Mini Catalog it called out to me just begging for me to get it! So of course I did!
Yesterday I had a chance to create with it and it was as much fun as I had anticipated. I don’t know why but creating these adorable little critters just makes me smile! And let’s face it, we could all do with a few more smiles in our life! Right?
Every Thursday at 7:30 PM Eastern I go live (ok sometimes it’s taped!) on my YouTube channel to bring you a video tutorial featuring my stamp set of the week! Yesterday I was so happy to bring you a sneak peek of this adorable bundle!
I created two cards – one that was pretty basic and one that need the use of the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine to do some die cutting! Here’s a look at the two cards I made. What do you think?

Although the designs are fairly basic with minimal die cutting, I did use a few differnet tools to add a bit of color to the cards. For the card on the left, I used blending brushes to add a touch of blue and green tone down the bright white of the background and to try to create the illusion of a horizion with the sky meeting the ground. The flowers were colored with Stampin’ Write markers to add even more color.
For the card on the right, I also used a blending brush to add some deeper color to the Balmy Blue cardstock in an attempt to add shadows and tones to the blue. I also used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write maker to free hand color the spots on the cows, adding a black line to create hooves and adding color to the tail. It’s so easy to do this since cows are anything bu uniform and no matter how you color the spots they will look great! Don’t you think so?
