Christmas Classics – timeless treasures
I love the new Christmas Classics bundle from Stampin’ Up! Not only does the stamp set have lovely sentiments but the matching dies are some of the most beautiful I have seen in a long time! This bundle is part of the Joy of Christmas Product Suite so be sure to check out the rest of the suite.
With the ornate dies included in this bundle you don’t need to add a lot of other “fluff” to create stunning cards. For my Tuesday Lesson@Lunch video I used this bundle to create a prettly little fun fold card that is easy to make! Check it out.
Clean & Simple; Fast & Fun
What do you think do you like it? I do because it’s fun and easy to make yet looks hard. Someone asked me the other day how I would describe my style of crafting and I jokingly said “fast and furious” but the more I thought about it the more I realized it’s true.
I consider myself a lazy crafter – I love making beautiful things but I really don’t want to spend hours creating one card. I want to create a pretty card and move on to the next project. It’s not that I don’t have the tools or supplies or knowledge to create over the top, intricate designs, but why would I? That’s not my jam. I love fun folds that look hard but are actually pretty easy and I love clean and simple (I beleive in K.I.S.S. – Keep It Simple Stamper!). Some may call my style simple or plain or boring and that’s ok – I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea.
But if you’re anything like me and you want to create “fast and furious” while keeping is simple, then we need to talk (and craft together!). Sometimes all you need is a good fun fold, pretty Designer Series Paper, and coordinating cardstock to pair with your stamps, inks, and dies to create beautiful cards.

So to make this card I used Shaded Spruce, Real Red, and Basic White cardstock, Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper, Shaded Spruce and Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pads as well as the Christmas Classics Bundle (stamps and dies).
The Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper is based on the hand-painted images by Stampin’ Up!’s in-house artists. The classic watercolor art design style of this paper combines classic Christmas colors and patterns, gold foil accents, jolly holly florals, and pieces of classic Christmas carols for a one of a kind paper that is sure to add beauty to your cards this season. The Designer Series Paper coordinates with six of Stampin’ Up!’s colors:
Measurements
Here are the measurements you will need to make this card along with the Christmas Classics stamp set and dies:
- Shaded Spruce – 1 piece cut to 4 1/4″ x 9″ and scored at 1 1/4″; 2 1/2″ and 5 3/4″ and 1 piece cut to 2 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″
- Basic White – 1 piece at 3″ x 4″ for the inside and 1 piece at 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ for sentiment die cut
- Real Red – 1 piece at 4″ x 4″ for fancy die cut label
- Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper 1 piece at 1″ x 4″; 1 piece at 3″ x 4″; and 1 piece at 2″ x 5 1/4″
