To say 2020 has been a year unlike any other is the understatement of, well, the year! We’ve had to regroup and adapt to a new way of doing things but perhaps the hardest has been social distancing. We are a social people by nature and at this point I think even introverts like me have had enough. We want to gather with our loved ones and celebrate the holidays but again 2020 has thrown us a curve ball! So, if we can’t be there in person to celebrate together, we can at least create handmade items to send and share with our loved ones to let them know how special they are to us.
Handmade doesn’t have to be fancy or elaborate – sometimes simple is best. And I’ve got a super easy gift box you can make from just a half sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ card stock. Just a few scored lines, some quick snips, fold and glue. Viola! you have an adorable little gift box to use for gift cards, cash, sweet treats, or any little trinket you want. Your family and friends will be impressed with your creativity and touched by your thoughtful kindness. And let’s face it – we could all use a little more kindness this year.
