There are some cards that are pretty… and then there are cards that make people stop, turn them over, open them again, and say, “Wait… how does this work?”
This never ending card is one of those cards.
It’s interactive, it’s unexpected, and best of all — it looks far more complicated than it actually is. Once you understand the base construction, the rest is simply decorating with your favorite stamps and Designer Series Paper.
This project was originally taught during my Stampalooza in-person retreat, and it was hands-down one of the most talked-about make & takes of the event. I’m excited to now share it here so you can make it at home and add this fun fold to your cardmaking toolbox.
What Is a Never Ending Card?
A never ending card is an interactive fun fold with four different sides. You always open it from the center, and no matter how many times you turn it, it just keeps opening.
Front… inside… another inside… the back… and then you’re right back where you started.
It’s the kind of card that brings instant joy — and it’s perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or anytime you want to send something extra special.
Why This Card Is Easier Than It Looks
I won’t sugarcoat it — the base matters.
This is one of those designs where careful scoring, cutting, and alignment make all the difference. That’s why, in the tutorial, I slow things down at the beginning and really focus on setting the base up correctly.
Once the base is assembled:
- The folds do the work for you
- The movement happens automatically
- Decorating becomes the fun part
If you can score, cut, and glue carefully, you can absolutely make this card.

Tips for Success With This Fun Fold
Before you dive in, here are a few helpful reminders:
- Take your time with the base. Precision here makes the magic happen later.
- Use liquid glue for assembly — it gives you a little wiggle room to line things up.
- Burnish your folds well with a bone folder so the card opens cleanly.
- Don’t overthink the decorating — once the structure is done, have fun with it!
This is a fantastic card to make again and again using different Designer Series Papers and stamp sets.
