Give Back with Love & Courage
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this week’s project is especially meaningful to me. I created three handmade cards using the Love & Courage stamp set from Stampin’ Up – the Making a Difference product for 2025. With every purchase, Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to a breast cancer organization in your market: North America, Europe, or the South Pacific.
As a breast cancer survivor, this set holds a very special place in my heart. Crafting has been part of my healing journey—it gave me peace when life felt uncertain and helped me stay connected to others when I needed it most. My hope is that these projects inspire you to create and send encouragement to the people in your life who may need it, too.
Watch the Tutorial
In this week’s video, I demonstrate three cards using the Love & Courage stamp set. Each design uses the same colors—Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush, and Memento Tuxedo Black—but with different techniques so you can see how versatile this set can be.
If you order this stamp set through my online store by Friday, October 24th, I’ll send you the pre-cut kits to make all three cards featured in the video as my thank-you gift.
Card 1: Hope & Love Background – Simple Stamping

This first design is all about simple stamping—perfect for beginners or anyone short on time. You’ll create your own background using the “Hope” and “Love” stamps in Pretty in Pink ink, then fill in the gaps with small hearts in Strawberry Slush.
Finish it off with a large sunflower stamped in Strawberry Slush for a bright, encouraging focal point.
Measurements
- Card base: Pretty in Pink – 8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼” (21 cm x 14.8 cm scored at 10.5 cm)
- Front panel: Basic White – 5¼” x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm)
- Center square: Basic White – 3″ x 3″ (8 cm x 8 cm)
- Inside panel: Basic White – 5¼” x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm)
Tip: You can step up this design by die cutting your sentiment and fussy cutting around the sunflower for extra texture.
Card 2: Embossing & Sunflowers – Friends Don’t Let Friends Fight Cancer Alone

This second card adds dimension with the Beautiful Designs Embossing Folder—a new product available to customers beginning November 2025. It creates a stitched diamond pattern that adds just the right amount of detail without overpowering your stamped images.
Stamp the sunflower partially along the card edge in Pretty in Pink and emboss your main panel. Wrap a piece of Strawberry Slush ribbon across the front and layer your sentiment: “Friends don’t let friends fight cancer alone.”
Measurements
- Card base: Pretty in Pink – 8½” x 5½”, scored at 4¼” (21 cm x 14.8 cm, scored at 10.5 cm)
- Embossed layer: Strawberry Slush – 5¼” x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm)
- Sentiment mat: Basic Black – 4¼” x 3¼” (10.5 cm x 8.5 cm)
- Sentiment panel: Basic White – 4″ x 3″ (10 cm x 8 cm)
- Inside layer: Basic White – 5¼” x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm)
Finish with Wink of Stella for a soft shimmer on your flowers. It’s a subtle but powerful touch that adds life to your design.
Card 3: Thank You – Supporting Me Through My Battle

This card was designed to express gratitude for the people who help us through life’s hardest seasons. During my own treatments, friends and neighbors dropped off meals, sent cards, and prayed for me and my family. Those simple gestures meant the world to us, and I wanted this project to capture that feeling of heartfelt thanks.
Stamp the ribbon and heart images, then add the sentiment “Thank you for supporting me throughout my battle.” Layer the Pretty in Pink and Basic Black strips across the front and shape a ribbon from coordinating ribbon for that final, symbolic touch.
Measurements
- Card base: Pretty in Pink – 8½” x 5½”, scored at 4¼” (21 cm x 14.8 cm , scored at 10.5 cm)
- Embossed layer: Pretty in Pink – 5¼” x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm)
- Accent strip: Pretty in Pink – 4″ x 1″ (10 cm x 2.5 cm)
- Mat strip: Basic Black – 4″ x 1¼” (10 cm x 3 cm)
- Inside panel: Basic White – 5¼” x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm)
This layout is flexible—change the ribbon color to represent other awareness causes or simply use it for a note of encouragement to anyone facing a challenge.
