Hey friends, in this week’s video, I’m giving you a sneak peek at what’s in store for my exclusive Crafty Crew Zoom happening tomorrow (Friday)! This private Zoom session is a special thank-you for everyone who placed a $50+ order with me in May—and one of the perks they’re getting is a PDF tutorial with four custom sketch designs (measurements included in both imperial and metric, of course).
During the Zoom, participants are free to craft with anything they like, but I’ll be demoing these sketches live using some of my favorite new products. Today’s video gives you a front-row look at the creative possibilities of these designs—because even if you didn’t order last month, I want you to see exactly what you’re missing. 😉

Sketch #1: Sweet & Simple Circle Feature

This first sketch is a classic and so versatile. I used a Fresh Freesia base and layered it with that dreamy Floral Impressions DSP. Then I added a stamped sentiment (“Just a Note” from the Simply Said stamp set) to a Basic White Circle layered over a Pool Party Circle.
The second card features Soft Sea Foam, Flirty Flamingo, and Turtle-y Awesome DSP. Instead of circles, I used squares for the focal point and added some ribbons and gems.
Same sketch, two different vibes—because when you swap the shapes, stamp sets, or colors, the layout feels fresh every time. Easy peasy, and you’re already winning at cardmaking.

Sketch #2: Strips, Layers & Die Cut Flowers

This one has a bit more going on, but don’t panic—it’s still beginner-friendly. For the first card I used a trio of DSP strips, a textured vertical layer, and three die-cut floral elements using the Floral Impressions dies.
When I used the Turtle-y Awesome suite, I changed it up by using DSP for my vertical layer and three textured cardstock strips along with stamped and colored images in the circles. The beauty of sketch designs is there are no hard and fast rules for creating!

Sketch #3: Two Panels and a Focal Point

This layout feels a little familiar—but she’s got a glow-up! We’re layering two beautiful DSP panels and creating a stunning focal point using two-step stamping. I made a Black-Eyed Susan using Darling Duckling and Early Espresso, then stamped a sweet sentiment—“I appreciate you”—in Garden Green.
Using the Turtle-y Awesome set with a textured cardstock background changes up the look and feel of this design – but in a fun way! The solid color background is the perfect foil to our colorful turtle!
Looking ahead to the holiday season, this is an easy design to mass-produce when you need a stack of holiday cards in a hurry!

Sketch #4: Split Panel with Arches & Ribbons

I saved the sassiest design for last! This design splits a single DSP panel into three pieces to create a flowing visual across the card. I brought in the Everyday Arches Dies to create the focal point and layered some stamped blooms in Timid Tiger and Fresh Freesia. A gold metallic ribbon saved the day when my stem stamping got a little wild (we’ve all been there).
Changing up the arches for rectangles for the Turtle-y Awesome version creates a subdued focal point, allowing us to get a little crazy with coloring, balloons, and texture.
✨ TIP: When cutting a piece of DSP into strips, mark your paper backs with T/M/B for Top, Middle, and Bottom to keep patterns flowing.

Why Sketches? Why Now?
Sketches are my secret weapon for faster crafting. Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro, having a template takes the guesswork out of layout—so you can focus on color, stamping, and having fun.
And guess what? The stamp sets I used—Floral Impressions and Turtle-y Awesome—are both part of the Buy One, Get One 50% Off Suite Sale going on through June 30. Whether you want the full suite or just a few coordinating pieces, now is the time to treat yourself.
