Party Dies: 3 Exciting Projects to Spark Your Creative Joy

Hey crafty friends! Judy Klock here, your go-to gal for all things stamps, ink, and paper. Today, I’m bringing you a creative tutorial featuring one of my absolute favorite new releases from the 2025–2026 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog: the Party Dies Bundle.

I couldn’t wait to dive into this one—it was love at first demo during OnStage! With 14 sizes of banners and a complete alphabet set of dies, the possibilities for cardmaking, scrapbooking, and DIY décor are practically endless.

So grab a cup of coffee (or two—I definitely needed more than one for this video 😅), and let’s get inspired with two fun birthday cards and a peek at a custom banner I’m creating for Shenandoah Stampalooza!

🛠 Project One: Bright & Bold Birthday Banner Card

This first card is just plain FUN. I used the smallest Party Banners Die and paired it with the Layered Thoughts stamp set for the sentiment. For extra personality, I stamped each banner with designs from the Stripes & Dots background stamp.

🧵 Color Combo:

This combo was inspired by my free Crafty Color Combo Magic Tool:

  • Azure Afternoon
  • Lemon Lime Twist
  • Berry Burst

✂️ Measurements:

  • Azure Afternoon 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (21 cm x 14.8 cm scored at 10.5 cm)
  • Basic White 5 1/4″ x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm) for inside plus a scrap to fit sentiment
  • Berry Burst scraps for smallest banner die
  • Lemon Lime Twist scraps for smallest banner die

    ✨ Tips:

    • Use tone-on-tone stamping for subtle texture.
    • Stamp off-center or on the diagonal for extra movement.
    • Use scrap paper underneath—those background stamps are BIG!

🎉 Project Two: Banner-Shaped HBD Card

Who says your card base has to be a rectangle? This card takes the Party Dies to a whole new level by cutting the card base into a banner shape using the fifth-largest die in the set. The result? A clean, modern HBD card that looks like party décor you can mail!

    🧵 Color Combo:

    • Soft Sea Foam
    • Pool Party
    • Petal Pink

The bold “HBD” letters were textured using the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder—a perfect way to add depth without bulk.

    ✂️ Measurements:

    • Soft Sea Foam 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″ (29.7 cm x 10.5 cm scored at 14.8 cm)
    • Basic White 5 1/4″ x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm) for the inside
    • Pool Party 5 1/4″ x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm)
    • Petal Pink scraps for letter dies

🎀 Bonus Project: Welcome Banner Sneak Peek

I’m also working on a custom “Welcome to Shenandoah Stampalooza” banner using the 4th largets Party Banners Die and the Party Alphabet Dies. So many possibilities—solid cardstock, DSP, color layering—you name it.

This project is proof that these dies are for way more than just cards!
