Getting Ready for OnStage with 2 Quick & Easy Cards

OnStage is coming!

One of the many things I love about Stampin’ Up! is the annual convention known as OnStage! It’s an experience like no other – thousands of avid paper crafters and cardmakers gathered together in one spot for three days. It’s an amazing experience and really fills up cup with new energy and new ideas.

Part of the OnStage experience is swapping – both organized swap and “in the wild” swaps. Now if you have no idea what I am talking about please let me explain. Swapping is when a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator (me in this case) designs cards – usually multiples of one design – to trade or swap with another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

Organized swaps are just that – they are usually organized by a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, have a theme, rules or design guideline to follow, and a specific number are required. I have signed up for 3 organized swaps – a fun fold swap, a demonstrator’s choice swap, and a swap for an after OnStage event I am attending. In addition to these three organized swaps, I also want to have cards that I can use to “swap in the wild”.

“Swapping in the Wild” goes on everywhere – the hotel lobby, the event venue, before the event starts, on breaks – literally everywhere all day! It’s so fun to see what other people design. These open swaps can be cards or 3D items. There are no rules for open swapping but people really do want to put their best work out there so I do get some really great ideas to bring back to you!

So since I am currently working on my swaps, I thought I would show case them for my weekly YouTube video. Here are pictures of the cards I made during the video. What do you think?
