Get more out of your Embossing Folders!
I love using embossing folders! They are an easy way to add texture and interest to your cards and projects. While they are great to use as is, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to get more out of using them? The answer is of course YES!
Imagine if iyou could add color quickly and easily to your embossing folders. Would you be more likely to use them more often? Well keep on reading! I’ve got three easy ideas for you to use with embossing images!
First let’s take a look at the cards I made during my video tutorial.

Measurements and Supplies
For this video I kept the measurements simple. The cards featuring the Layering Florals 3D embossing folder use a base of Thick Basic White 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (21 cm x 14.8 cm scored at 10.5 cm). The embossed layer is regular Basic White cardstock cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″ (14.3 cm x 10 cm) with a scrap of Basic White used for the sentiment label.
The card featuring the Fun Patterns embossing folder (new On-line Exclusive publically available beginning on March 5, 2024) uses a base of Thick Basic White 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (21 cm x 14.8 cm scored at 10.5 cm).The embossed layer is Bubble Bath cardstock 2″ x 5 1/2″ (6 cm x 14.8 cm) with scraps of Melon Mambo and regular Basic White for the sentiment and a scrap of More Dazzle Specialty Paper.
