4 Quick & Easy Christmas Treat Boxes – Make in Minutes

If December had a personality, it’d be that neighbor who shows up unannounced, tracks snow through your clean kitchen, and says, “Oh hey, I brought 14 more things for your to-do list.”

Yep. It’s that time of year again.

Last month we made those adorable little Thanksgiving turkey treat boxes, and you all went absolutely wild for them. Well, guess what? We’re taking that exact same simple box design, giving it a festive glow-up, and turning it into four quick Christmas treat boxes you can whip out faster than you can say, “Where did I put the Scotch tape?”

These make perfect party favors, table treats, stocking stuffers, classroom gifts, and last-minute “Oh no, I forgot!” hero moments.
And the best part?
If I can make these during the chaos that is early December… you absolutely can too.

Let’s take a peek at how easy these little cuties really are.

Step-by-Step: How to Make These Easy Holiday Treat Boxes

Same template. Four adorable personalities. Zero stress.

Below is the full tutorial — measurements included in both inches and metric, because we love an international crafty queen.

Box Base Measurements

Cardstock Size:

  • 4″ × 8½” (10 cm × 21.5 cm)

Scoring:

  • With the 4″ (10 cm) side at the top: score at 2″ (5 cm)
  • Rotate so the 8½” (21.5 cm) side is at the top: score at 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″ (5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm)

This creates the exact little box structure used for:
🎅 Santa
🧝 His trusty elf
🦌 A cute (slightly dramatic) reindeer
🎁 A DSP gift box

Assembly Instructions

  1. Fold all your score lines — use a bone folder for cardstock or just your fingers for DSP.
  2. Trim off the small ½” × 2″ (1.5 × 5 cm) rectangle at the bottom corner.
  3. Cut up each vertical score line to the 2″ (5 cm) horizontal score.
  4. Add glue to the long ½” (1.5 cm) side tab and fold to form your box.
  5. Fold in the bottom flaps and glue the final flap securely.

Boom. Your base is DONE.
Now let’s dress these up and make them holiday-ready.

🎅 Santa Treat Box

Santa starts with Real Red cardstock—classic and timeless, just like the guy himself.

Fur Trim

  • Tear a 1″ × 2″ (2.5 × 5 cm) strip of Basic White
  • Glue to the front for that fluffy coat look

Belt & Buckle

  • Black strip: ¾” × 8½” (2 × 21.5 cm), scored at 1″, 3″, 5″, 7″ (2.5 cm, 7.5 cm, 12.5 cm. 17.5)
  • Gold buckle: 1″ × 1″ (2.5 × 2.5 cm)
  • Black buckle center: ¾” × ¾” (2 × 2 cm)

Wrap, glue, admire, brag.

🧝 Elf Treat Box

Exact same instructions as Santa — you’re simply swapping the Real Red for Garden Green and giving him his own little belt moment.

You could get fancy if you want… but honestly, simple is charming and keeps your December blood pressure stable.

🦌 Reindeer Treat Box

This one brings the personality.

The Face

  • Cut two 2″ × 2″ (5.1 × 5.1 cm) squares
  • Snip into soft triangles (perfectly imperfect is the goal — trust me)
  • Punch a tiny Real Red circle for the nose and attach with a glue dot

The Eyes

  • Punch two ½” (1.2 cm) circles
  • Color pupils with a Basic Black marker
  • Adhere with glue dots

Antlers

No fancy die? No problem.
I used an old leaf punch, trimmed them, and boom — instant antlers.
Are they anatomically correct? Absolutely not.
Are they adorable? Yes, ma’am.

Sandwich them between your two head pieces and attach the whole thing to the front of the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

🎁 DSP Present Box

When you need something fast, nothing beats a treat box made entirely from Designer Series Paper.

Dress it up with ribbon.
Fill it with candy or tea bags or whatever surprises you like.
Set them at each place setting and watch faces light up.
