Thanksgiving is coming in hot, and if you’re hosting — or heading to someone else’s house — there’s nothing like a cute handmade table favor to make things feel a little more special. The food might be the star, but these tiny details? They’re the charm.
This week’s project is fast, adorable, and absolutely achievable even if you’re juggling a million holiday tasks. And once we finish the turkey, I’m sharing a sneak peek at brand-new Stampin’ Up! items coming in the January–April Mini Catalog and January Online Exclusives. Yes, my preorder finally arrived — and you know I tore into that box like it was Christmas morning.
But first… let’s talk turkey.
🦃 A Cute & Easy Turkey Treat Box for Your Thanksgiving Table

If you’ve got cardstock scraps and a couple circle punches, you can make this little guy happen. It’s punch art at its simplest — just the way I like it when life is a little chaotic and the to-do list is taller than the turkey itself.
Why this little box is worth making:
- Takes about 10 minutes (even with chit-chat)
- Uses basic shapes and freehand cuts — forgiving and fun
- Perfect for candy: Reese’s Pieces, Rolos, Hershey Kisses, anything small
- Looks adorable at every place setting
- Easy to batch-produce if you need a bunch
Inside the video, I show you step-by-step how to:
• Score and assemble the mini box
• Build the turkey face (eyes, beak, wattle — the whole cute mess)
• Add wings using the retired Songbird punch
• Freehand feather strips — no perfection required
• Glue everything together cleanly so it stands upright
If you want the exact measurements, they’re right here:
📏 Box Measurements
Cardstock (Cajun Craze):
• 8½” × 4″ (21.5 cm x 10 cm)
Score on the long side (8½”; 21.5 cm) at:
• 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″ (5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm)
Score on the short side (4″; 10 cm) at:
• 2″ (5 cm)
Trim the ½” × 2″ (1.5 cm x 5 cm) corner, snip up the vertical lines to create flaps, fold, glue, and assemble.
Add the face, wings, and feathers and you’re done.
Cute. Quick. Crowd-pleaser. My favorite kind of project.
Remember, if you are running low on cardstock or adhesives? You can shop my store 24/7 and stock up anytime.
