Extraordinary Cards Made Easy with Everyday Items!

Going from Everyday to Extraordinary

Ever thought a kitchen sponge, plastic bag, or feather could create stunning handmade cards? Let’s take everyday items and turn them into extraordinary works of art!

I absolutely love to look at common, everyday items and think of new ways to use them in my cardmaking and papercrafting projects. What I love most is there is absolutely no special talent needed to master these techniques!

I am not artistic at all – I can’t even draw a straight line – but I am very crafty. To me there is a big difference between being artistic (like Michaelangelo, Van Gogh, or Picasso) and being crafty. I think some people are just born with a gift to draw, paint, and sculpt but I KNOW everyone has the ability to be crafty and create pretty things.

I may not be the next Van Gogh, but I love finding creative ways to turn everyday objects into stunning card designs! That’s exactly what I shared in this week’s YouTube tutorial! I took ordinary objects, a kitchen sponge, a plastic bag, and a feather and created three unique cards featuring these items. Let’s take a look.
