Creative projects you’ll love delivered to your door!

I love getting surprises in the mail! And my favorite of all is my monthly Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin’ Up! Each month this fun little kit arrives on my door step with everything I need to make that month’s project. Whenever it arrives, it’s like an old friend has come to visit. I can’t wait to open the box and see what is waiting for me!

November’s kit – Jolly Gingerbread – has everything I need to make a variety of projects -gift card holders, Christmas cards, or gift tags. I had so much fun making some of each. Check out my YouTube Video to see how easy it is to create beautiful handmade cards and gift tags.

Why join?

Hello Friends – it’s been a while since I have posted but I wanted to take this opportunity to explain a bit more about purchasing the Starter Kit and signing up to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

  • Do you get a feeling of dread when the option to purchase the starter kit is offered to you?
  • Do you avoid making eye contact when joining Stampin’ Up! is mentioned?
  • Are thinking “Ugh – I don’t want to listen to this now!”

Well I get it! I was the same way until I took the time to really understand what it is all about.

Purchasing the starter kit is about getting the best deal out there with absolutely no further obligations.  Yes you read that correctly – purchase of the starter kit does not come with any strings attached!

So why purchase it?  At the bare minimum, it is $125 in product for $99 (plus tax), a 20% discount over catalog prices, with a continuing 20% discount through your first full quarter.  So, if you plan to purchase at least $75 or more in product or want all the freebies that come with the starter kit during Sale-a-Bration, it is so worth it.

After the initial purchase of the starter kit, you have a few options:

  1. Enjoy the products you purchased at a discount and call it good
  2. Use your ongoing 20% discount through the end of June – no strings
  3. Stay on as a hobby demonstrator. These demonstrators (which I was for a long time) purchase their products using their discounts, maybe hold a class once in a while to assist with meeting their quarterly minimum of $300 or maybe have a friend or family member who orders from them so they can craft together
  4. Earn extra money by creating your very own small business.  This is great for stay-at-home moms, retirees, or anyone who is looking for a little something income

Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator has a lot of great benefits – trips, meetings, creative ideas just to name a few!  One of my personal favorites is making new friends and teaching them the joys of creating.  If you want to learn more, drop me an email at craftyklock@gmail.com.  I just want to share this incredible opportunity with you and answer any questions you have.  I promise it will be pressure free and worth your time.  Happy Stampin!

Kindness – pass it on

Have you ever had a bad day – the kind where everything just seems to go wrong? I sure have. And have you also noticed how one small act of kindness can turn your whole day around? Again, I sure have. Some days is just seems like nothing can go right and then BAM – someone smiles at me or says hello, or holds a door open for me and suddenly, my day takes a turn for the better. I love these moments as they remind me that even small acts of kindness can have a profound impact.

In a world that increasingly relies on social media to define self worth, it is easy to forget how important personal interaction can be for our mental well being. A kind smile, a friendly hello, or a “nice to see you” greeting may seem small, but like a pebble thrown into the water creates ever increasing ripples, to too are the rippling effects of that random kindness. Those effects can be far reaching – your smile at a stranger on the train causes them to say good morning to the barista serving coffee, who in turn greets the next customer with a nice to see you, which causes that person to hold open the door for a someone with their hands full and on and on. Small random acts of kindness that connect us all and make the world a friendlier place to live in.

The desire to pass on acts of kindness is one of the reasons I love being a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. Making beautiful cards and 3D items to share with others makes me happy. I keep a stash of blank cards in my purse and randomly pass them out to people I meet. Most are surprised at first but then are excited to receive the card and often exclaim – Oh I know just who I am going to send this too! – Ripple effects – I love it! I am sure the recipient of that care will pay it forward with their own act of kindness.

Stampin’ Up makes it so easy to help you create beautiful cards so you too can spread kindness around. Our monthly Paper Pumpkin subscription kit comes with everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) you need to create beautiful cards to share. Check out a sneak peek of the June kit here.

Doesn’t that look like fun? Order your kit here by June 10th and start spreading kindness.
