Every craft room has its essentials—stamps, ink, and paper—but sometimes it’s the little extras that really make a difference. Over the years, I’ve discovered a handful of inexpensive, non-Stampin’ Up! items that have earned a permanent spot in my creative space. These are the tools I reach for again and again because they make crafting smoother, easier, and a whole lot more fun.
Most of these items can be found at Amazon, your local craft store, or even the dollar store—nothing fancy, just practical and effective.

Crafter’s Square Adhesive Eraser
This little block is magic for removing stray bits of adhesive or sticky residue without damaging your cardstock. A must-have for keeping projects clean and polished.

4″ x 6″ Garage Door Magnets
These slim, sturdy magnets are perfect for holding metal dies. They keep everything organized and in place so I can find the die I need without digging through piles.

Spring Action Wobbles
Want to add a little movement to your cards? Wobbles make it easy to create interactive cards with a focal point that shakes and wiggles—perfect for birthdays, kids’ cards, or any time you want to bring a smile.

Post-it Tape
Low-tack, removable, and oh-so-useful! I use Post-it Tape to hold dies in place while cutting, mask off areas for stamping or blending, or even for temporary notes during a project.

Reverse Tweezers
Think of these as your “third hand.” They’re especially helpful when tying bows, holding small pieces while you add glue, or placing delicate die cuts exactly where you want them.

Googly Eyes
Because sometimes a card just needs a little extra personality! I especially love these for Halloween cards, kids’ projects, or any design that could use a playful touch.

Lint Roller
Glitter, embossing powder, paper fuzz—you name it. A quick swipe with a lint roller and my desk (and sometimes my clothes) are back to clean in seconds.

Baby Wipes
Quick clean-up is a must in my craft room. Baby wipes are perfect for wiping inky fingers, cleaning off a surface in between projects, or catching little spills before they spread.
Crafting is all about finding what works for you, and I hope this list gave you a few new ideas to try in your own space. Do you already use some of these? Or did one surprise you? I’d love to know which one is your favorite—drop me a comment and let’s compare notes!
