Love at first site

Way back in August, I had the opportunity to pre-order lots of new goodies from the Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog (one of the perks of being a demonstrator). One of the items that caught my eye was the Tiny Keepsakes Bundle. I thought this would be a quick and easy way to make treats for co-workers, family, friends, teachers, coaches (get the idea?) so I placed my order for one. As soon as it arrived I knew I made the right choice! From the first time I used the die to make a treat box I was in LOVE with this set.

Item #152390 – $48.50 included 7 cling stamps and 10 dies

I just couldn’t stop playing with this set! It’s so, so easy to use and you don’t even need to stamp! One 6″x6″ of Designer Series Paper is really all you need or you can use cardstock and dress it up! Add ribbon or twine with a small tag and you have an adorable little gift. The box is the perfect size for chocolate – Hershey’s Kisses, Lindor Truffles, or Ferrero Rocher are excellent choices. You can order your bundle today from my website. Check all the different ones I made.

Who loves plaid?

Well it’s been a while but I am back and determined to keep up to date with my blog! August was a busy month – lots of family fun, activities, and of course the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog pre-order period. The new holiday catalog is just full of wonderful new stamp sets, punches and embellishments and I have been busy playing with all the new items!

One of my favorites is the new Perfectly Plaid bundle. The stamp set and punch make it easy for all levels of crafters to create beautiful, one of a kind holiday cards in minutes. Pair the stamp set with the new Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink and you have a “Wow” card in the making.

To make this card, start with a Shaded Spruce card base cut to 5.5″ by 8.5 ” and fold in half. Next take a piece of Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut to 3″ by 5.5″. Adhere the DSP to the card base. On a piece of Whisper White card stock cut to 2.5″ by 5.5″ punch out the tree shape. Stamp the “Merry Christmas ” greeting in Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink and add red rhinestones for a bit of sparkle. Adhere piece to DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Perfectly Plaid Bundle, Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper, and Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink will be available beginning September 4th. The year of #simplestamping

Hello fellow crafters! I hope you enjoyed holidays and found some time to relax.  This year Stampin’ Up! kicks off its #simplestamping campaign – calling on demonstrators to design and create beautiful cards just using stamps, ink and paper. Believe me it’s harder than it sounds! As an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I love to design and create cards using a variety of our wonderful products.  Sometimes it’s difficult to get back to the simple thrill of putting ink to paper. I remember when I put ink to paper to create my very first card. I was so excited – I had actually created something beautiful. It was so easy and I was hooked! As time has gone by I’ve learned so much and challenged myself to create works of art with my stamps, inks, papers, and embellishments. This #simplestamping challenge is giving me a chance to take a step back and focus on simple creativity. Here are just a few of the cards I created with just stamps, ink, and paper.  I am including a supply list in case you to recreate these cards.  If you are not already working with a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I would love to have you for a customer.  You can shop here for all the supplies shown below.  Feel free to leave a comment or let me know how I can help you create your own beautiful cards.

Stampin 1, 2, 3!

Hi All!  Today I want to share a little secret with you.  Everyone can make beautiful handcrafted greeting cards with just stamps, ink, and paper.  I made three cards – from simple and easy to more embellished using just one stamp set, two colors of card stock, three embellishments and four ink pads!  In each of the three examples below I used the same items, just adding a few new elements each time to create a new look.  All the items used can be ordered from my online store.  If you were to signup as a new Demonstrator you can get all the items used and more, up to $125 value, for just $99!  Sign up by July 30th and you will also receive an Ink Pad Assortment (10 pads), normally $67.50,  FREE!  That’s a total of $192.50 in products for just $99!  Now that’s a GREAT deal!  Click here to learn more about joining my team.

All three cards below were made using the same stamp set, inks and paper.  A supply list is at the end of this post.

Abstract Impressions 1

This card was made using Stampin Up! Whisper White cardstock,  Abstract Impressions stamp set, and ink pads in Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green.  A very simple and elegant card that is so easy to make.

Abstract Impressions 2

Build on the basic card above by adding a pop of color using the coordinating two step stamps from the Abstract Impressions set with Blueberry Bushel and Mossy Meadow ink.  Create a bit more interest by using the Tailored Tag punch and adhering it to the card with Stampin Dimensionals.

Abstract Impressions 3

You can really jazz up the card by using Balmy Blue cardstock that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder and adding a bit of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.  The Whisper White cardstock has been trimmed down to allow the blue card base to show.
