Get Ready for Easter

Now that spring has finally arrived, my thoughts turn to Easter and all the traditional activities associated with the season. Egg hunts, visits with the Easter Bunny, Easter bonnets, and of course, Easter decorations!

I just love decorating for Easter. In fact, last year was the first in many, many years that I was able to put out my Easter decorations. I made me so happy to see them again! I can’t wait to put them out this year and I have a new decoration to add to my collection!

Egg Shaped Box

A few days ago, I was scrolling videos on YouTube when I came across one posted back in 2020 by Gemma Clarke. It was such a unique creation that I knew I had to try it. I did change up some of her measurements and I decided to use Designer Series Paper instead of cardstock but that’s it. Other than tweaking the measurements just a little, I kept everything else the same.

These boxes are “eggslent” for holding little treats or just for decorating. Hang them from your Easter tree for fun pops of color and design!

Check out my video tutorial.

Egg Shaped Box

Measurements, Supplies, and an Added Bonus

To create this box, you will need a piece of Designer Series Paper or cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 6″ and some ribbon for the top. Watch the tutorial for scoring, cutting, and folding instructions. It’s not as hard as it looks. In fact after the first one, it will become easier to make. As an added bonus, I created a full size template for you to use to make it easier to create this pretty and unique box. Just click the button to get your copy of the template.

If you would like the full written tutorial complete with measurements in both imperial and metric as well as step-by-step instructions, be sure to sign up for my email list. All my subscribers will receive this tutorial in this Friday’s (March 31, 2023) email. Don’t miss out- subscribe today. Plus when you sign up I’ll send you my free Sketch Design E-book featuring 6 designs to jump start your crafting!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! supplies I used in my video to make these Egg Shaped Boxes. I also used some general office supplies like a 12″ ruler and a hole puncher.
