Create sunshine with Flowers of Friendship

Every so often a stamp set or bundle comes out that just makes you smile. The new Flowers of Friendship bundle is one that makes my heart happy and makes me smile. As soon as I saw it in the catalog, I knew I had to get it and design a class with it. This past weekend I held my monthly card class featuring the Flowers of Friendship bundle and what a great time it was. I love the camaraderie of these events and how even new participants are made to feel welcome. Stampers are some of the friendliest people I know and are so supportive of each other.

The highlight of the evening was getting to create 8 beautiful cards (two each of four designs) that are sure to bring a smile to all who receive them. The Flowers of Friendship stamp set and coordinating punch make it so easy to create fun, colorful cards that pop. When paired with the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper (DSP), there is no end to the colorful creations you can make; the only limit is your imagination. Here’s a peek at my designs.

What I love most about this bundle is the simplicity of the different elements. You can start out very simply with just stamps, ink, and paper and then add elements such as die cuts, embossing folders, embellishments, and more to really step up the designs.

For the Basic White card, I started with an 11″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Thick Basic White cardstock (scored at 5 1/2″). Then I stamped the largest floral image (the one with three flowers) in Evening Evergreen and added the sentiment, also in Evening Evergreen. I than stamped three large flowers and one small flower on the Hand Penned DSP and punched out the images with the coordinating punch. Once the flowers were punched, I used Stampin Dimensionals to place the three large flowers over the stamped image. I used a mini glue dot to layer the smaller punched flower over the large flower in the center and added 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the center of each flower for a little pop of bling! Quick and easy but oh so pretty!
