APRIL 2024 HOST CODE 4RCYSRWG

Lemons

So I’m back from vacation, ready to jump back into my business and right out of the gate I had two setbacks that made me a little sad.  First- I had to cancel my Stampin’ Bingo event for June 22nd as no one registered to come.  Bummer! It would have been such a fun evening.  Not sure what I could have done differently but I will keep trying.  Silver Lining – now I am registered for the Unicorn Festival at Hogback Mountain Pony Rides in Leesburg, VA.  Here’s hoping this event is well attended and gives my little business a big boost!  Life handed me lemons so I’m gonna make some delicious lemonade!  I even designed a special Unicorn Birthday card for the Swag Bags!

Next, my monthly card class was scheduled for June 16, which I realize was Father’s Day but I figured – what the hey – let’s go for it.  Three people were scheduled to come so I prepped card kits for six people (8 cards x 6 people equals 48 cards prepped and ready to go) – you know in case someone brought a friend.  Well guess what?  YUP – all no shows.  One person at least has the decency to text to say she was sick. Thank you – I appreciate that little courtesy.  The other two people just ghosted – no call, no text, no email.  Just a little rude but ok maybe they were raised with different values.  On the upside, I was able to go pick up my dog from the groomer when he was done and got to take a nice drive through the country on a beautiful, sunny day.  I will save the six card kits for July’s class – hopefully I will have people who will actually attend. More lemonade (and maybe even some yummy lemon bars)!

The cards for my June Class were all created using the new Perennial Essence Suite.  You can order the Perennial Essence Suite here. Take a look at the cards I created with this suite and see below for details on how to make these cards.  Remember – no matter how many lemons life hands you can always make something yummy – just stay positive!
